Rachel O’Neil Founder | CEO

Rachel started the company as a solo-preneur helping small businesses with their bookkeeping and accounting. She has a diverse accounting and business background that has given her a unique perspective in supporting other businesses.

She quickly discovered how much she enjoyed empowering people to understand their numbers and have more confidence when making decisions with the support from information and systems she helped them set up. 

When she’s not crunching numbers, Rachel enjoys spending time working on construction projects with her husband- be it tiling, roofing, or framing. She is also very blessed with a beautiful daughter and many nieces and nephews who bring her and her husband so much joy and laughter.

    BOOKKEEPER

    In her position with Oakland, Sheryl enjoys organizing financial transactions for nonprofits and small businesses, knowing that this allows them to focus on their products or services.

    Sheryl’s background in working for local governments, and making every taxpayer's dime count and be accounted for has given her an eye for detail and for streamlining confusing processes.

    Sheryl favorite part of the job is working for and with the Oakland team who are dedicated to creating a great service for clients while still making time for family, home, and hearth.

  • Hannah

    BOOKKEEPER | DESIGNER

    Hannah’s role with Oakland focuses on supporting our clients in their financial bookkeeping as well as supporting the team with digital marketing and designing needs.

    She has a background in graphic design as well as data management, and loves seeing the successful outcome of Oakland’s clients growing and becoming financially organized.

    Hannah is thankful to work with Oakland as it allows her flexible time to run a household for her husband and two boys, and work on home projects.

    BOOKKEEPER | PROCEDURAL MANAGER

    Catherine’s experience auditing a variety of medical manufacturers has given her insight into organizing Oakland’s procedures for efficiency and excellence.  This background also allows her to view Oakland’s clients' data through critical eyes and ensure it is accurate and successful.

    Catherine loves working with the Oakland team - like-minded people who work seamlessly toward a common goal and are great communicators.

    When she’s not working you can find Catherine baking a new sourdough recipe or taking walks with her daughter.

  • Marcia

    BOOKKEEPER

    Marcia has previous experience in non-profits, libraries, board governance and management, state reporting, and regulatory funding compliance.

    She enjoys working from home and helping Oakland clients gain clarity to operate and plan/dream for the future. Her favorite part of accounting is how accurate numbers help with future planning.

    She loves that her position with Oakland allows her flexibility to spend extra time with her husband, two girls, and a baby boy; as well as their chickens, bees, and many homestead projects.
